It has a 118° step drill lead angle, for fast entry into the material and good centering power. The spiral-shaped flutes help eliminate chips from cutting, thus facilitating constant entry of the drill into the material and avoiding localized heating.One of the main advantages of this stepped drill is the faceted shank (3 faces), its helping to maintain pressure on the stepped drill, preventing it from loosening more easily from the bushing clamps.
