The clock is designed by David Gerstein: Israeli painter,sculptor, draftsman and engraver.In the ‘70s, Gerstein set out to createart that would talk to the art world while still being comprehensible tothe man in the street. His daring use of colour derives from his wish to"copy nature". Gerstein has explained that just as in nature a brightlycoloured fruit or flower attracts insects, he wants his work to beattractive to the observer, and this philosophy is clearly to the forein the two clocks created for Guzzini.
