Giulio Iacchetti not only co-created the first edition of the IlTornitore Matto project with Alberto Alessi, but also contributed as adesigner by reimagining the traditional conca, an ancient jug once usedin central and southern Italy to carry and store water. Known for itsgenerous shape and two side handles, the conca was often carried on thehead or placed at the entrance of a home to offer water to guests.Iacchetti preserved its classic silhouette of two stacked cones andredesigned the iconic handles into a single continuous curved line thatelegantly outlines the entire profile of the piece.
