Decanter - Variation

The VARIATION decanter is ideal for oxygenating young red wines. Itsintended stopper acts as an aerator while the shape of its base lendsitself to being use in two position: upright or tilted. When tilted, thewine rotates easily in the decanter while the ridged base encourage themolecules to turn over.

A young wine will expand until it is mature and release aromas thanks tothe oxygenation of some of its compounds. Therefore, the ideal decanter for a young wine is wide-based or has ahorizontal shape (known as «Canard» [duck-shaped]), to favour the mingling of wine with the air.
