- COLDfire® is a special hardening treatment for making metal stronger, tougher and more durable. This cryogenic process is a one-time permanent treatment affecting the entire screwdriving bit and it is not just a surface coating. The cryogenic process consists of two steps, firstly the bit is hardened by heating it up to 870° and then freezing the bit down to -148° using a dry nitrogen atmosphere. The result of this process is a bit with exceptional durability;

- + 40% stronger - bit tips hold their form and will accept higher torque forces;

- + 45% longer life - over the lifetime of a bit one can expect to drive 45% more screws.
