A feeler gauge is a measuring instrument used to determine the size of gaps or clearances between adjacent surfaces. Play Gauges are used, amongst others, for setting valve clearance in internal combustion engines and during machine assembly for measuring the play between contact surfaces. The feeler gauge foils are made from stainless steel.
